About D-Artist
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dominick Taylor has been creating art since the age of five. Recieving his bachelors in illustration design at Maryland institute, designing graphic art for clothing brands, and design companies. With over 17 years of professional tattooing experience, he began his career through an 18-month apprenticeship before becoming a licensed tattoo artist in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dominick spent five years honing his craft at Virginia Beach Ink before relocating to Southern California, where he continued to evolve as both a fine artist and tattoo artist. Over the next decade, he tattooed throughout San Diego and Los Angeles, working with respected studios including Love Letters Tattoo in Downtown Los Angeles, Nitti’s Tattoo, and Broken Heart Tattoo in San Diego. His dedication to the craft has earned him sponsorships and recognition from industry-leading brands, including Bishop Rotary as a Pro Team Artist and Sullen Art Collective. Throughout his career, Dominick has traveled extensively, tattooing clients across the United States and internationally while continually expanding his artistic reach. Today, Dominick is based in the historic Ghent District of Norfolk, Virginia, where he is the owner of TBG (The Beautiful Grind) Bodyart & Studio. He specializes in black and grey, color realism, anime, and illustrative tattooing, creating custom work that reflects both technical precision and artistic vision. Beyond tattooing, Dominick is an accomplished multidisciplinary artist whose work includes murals, paintings, and medium- to large-scale drawings. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries throughout New York, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Los Angeles, and San Diego, reflecting a lifelong commitment to creativity across multiple artistic disciplines.

Every request comes in against one of these, so the starting price and deposit are clear before you ever talk. The deposit counts toward your final price.
A standard tattoo session for small to medium pieces. Includes consultation, custom design, and application.
A full day of 8-9 Hrs reserved exclusively for you. Ideal for large-scale pieces, sleeves, or back work that requires extended time.
Half a day of 4-5 hrs dedicated to your piece. Great for medium to large tattoos or multi-session projects.
No surprises
You are sending a request, not paying for a tattoo. Here is exactly what happens after you tap the button.
Pick a service, describe your idea, add reference photos. Takes two minutes.
D-Artist may ask a question or suggest a tweak before accepting.
Only once D-Artist accepts. It goes directly to D-Artist and counts toward your final price.
You settle the exact date together. Any change is up to D-Artist under their rescheduling policy.
The fine print, in plain words
I review all requests within 48 hours. A deposit is required to confirm your spot on my calendar. Walk-ins are not available — all sessions are by appointment only.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows will forfeit your deposit. One free reschedule is allowed with at least 24 hours notice. Repeated no-shows may result in being unable to book future appointments.
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment and will be applied toward your final total. If I need to reschedule your session, your deposit will carry over to the new date.
