**How verification works.** An artist must complete Stripe identity verification before they can accept bookings on TattMe. That verification is what the verified badge on a profile represents. Booking is enabled only for artists who are verified and who have published at least one location and one service.

**How deposits and payments work.** Payments run through Stripe. Artists collect deposits, full payments, and tips, and funds settle to the artist's own connected account. Some artists also enable pay-over-time (Tatt Now Pay Later). TattMe is free for clients to use.
